Technology

What is LoRaWAN?

LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) is a low-power, wide-area networking protocol designed for wireless battery-operated devices. It enables sensors to communicate over long distances — up to 15km in open areas — while consuming minimal power, allowing for multi-year battery life.

What range can I expect from LoRaWAN sensors?

In rural open areas, LoRaWAN can reach up to 15km. In urban environments, typical range is 2–5km depending on building density and obstacles. A single gateway can usually cover an entire multi-storey building.

How long do LoRaWAN sensor batteries last?

Battery life depends on the sensor type and how frequently it transmits. Our LoRaWAN smoke detectors and CO detectors are designed for up to 10 years on a single battery under normal operating conditions.

Is LoRaWAN secure?

Yes. LoRaWAN uses AES-128 encryption at both the network and application layers. Each device has unique session keys, ensuring end-to-end security that meets enterprise requirements.

Products & Certifications

What fire safety sensors does ParticLIO manufacture?

We manufacture smoke detectors (standalone, WiFi, RF interconnected, and LoRaWAN), carbon monoxide detectors, door and window contact sensors, heat detectors, gas leak detectors, vibration sensors, and fire alarm systems. OEM and white label versions are available for all product lines.

What certifications do your products hold?

Our smoke detectors are certified to EN 14604 (European smoke alarm standard). Products carry CE marking for European markets and FCC approval for the US market. Our quality management system is ISO 9001 certified.

How many sensors can one LoRaWAN gateway support?

A single LoRaWAN gateway can support thousands of end devices, depending on how frequently they transmit. For fire safety applications where sensors report status periodically, one gateway can comfortably serve a large building or campus.

Are your sensors suitable for both residential and commercial buildings?

Yes. Our product range covers standalone battery-operated alarms for homes and rental properties, as well as networked LoRaWAN and RF interconnected systems for commercial buildings, hotels, warehouses, and industrial facilities.

OEM & Customization

What OEM and white label options do you offer?

We offer three levels of customization: White Label (your logo and packaging on our standard products), OEM (custom enclosure colours, modified parameters, and co-branded materials), and ODM (fully custom hardware and firmware designed to your specification).

What is the minimum order quantity for OEM products?

Minimum order quantities start at 100 units for white label and standard OEM orders. ODM development projects typically require a minimum production run of 1,000 units. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

Can you modify the communication protocol or firmware?

Yes. We can adapt our RF protocol encoding to integrate with your existing alarm panel, modify transmission intervals, or develop custom firmware for ODM projects. This is one of our most common OEM requests.

How long does an OEM or ODM project take?

White label orders typically ship within 2–3 weeks. OEM projects with custom branding and minor modifications take 4–6 weeks. Full ODM development — from specification to production-ready samples — typically takes 8–12 weeks depending on complexity.

Shipping & Orders

Which countries do you ship to?

We currently ship to over 20 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. We support both DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) and DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) shipping arrangements depending on your preference and destination.

How do I request a quote or sample?

Contact us at [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +852 8490 0965. For OEM enquiries, please include your target quantity, required certifications, and any customization requirements so we can provide an accurate quote.

Do you provide technical documentation for OEM partners?

Yes. All OEM partners receive product datasheets, wiring diagrams, certification documents, and integration guides. For ODM projects, we provide full firmware source documentation and hardware schematics as agreed in the partnership terms.
